Get Involved

Contribute to the next issue!

To stay up to date on the upcoming pitch-list release, follow the Innis Herald on social media and join the mailing list for our newsletter!

If you are looking for a more casual way to get involved, write us a letter!
Do you have a fun anecdote to share? A love confession or an angry rant you want to get off your chest? Did your roommate almost burn down the house? Did you make an interesting observation on campus? Do you have an incredible obsession with racoons and want a platform to express your love for the fuzzy friend-shaped fauna? TELL US ABOUT IT!

Shower us in praise or give us some not-so-constructive criticism. Tell us what else you want to see in the Innis Herald, or maybe what you definitely don’t want to see more of. You can even ask our EIC for advice (only if you don’t want a sincere response).

Written letters, signed and sealed, can be delivered to room 108 at Innis College while electronic letters (aka emails) may be sent to exec.herald@gmail.com.

Podcast submissions!

The Innis Herald is looking for new contributor submissions to showcase on their Short Story Segment of the podcast! We welcome short stories, articles, and poetry that have been submitted to the Innis Herald for publication (or have already recently been published in the newspaper’s issues). This is your chance authors to let your work shine and get the exposure you need!

Authors can apply to be interviewed or showcased on the podcast.

Rules

  • Contributions have to be recently published (or in the process of being published) submissions to the Innis Herald Newspaper (as in no past year submissions or outside submissions)
  • All U of T students who have contributed to the Herald for at least 1 issue can apply (That includes new contributors as well!)
  • Contributions can be any written work: articles, short stories, or poems that have been published in the Innis Herald (in print or on our website).
  • Submissions must not contain any foul, defamatory language, target particular individuals, or promote discrimination on the issues of race, ability, gender or religious beliefs.
  • If any submission is found to contain such things, the masthead is free to deny its application to be showcased on the podcast.
  • All written submissions that were sent by writer’s consent to be showcased will be permanently added to the Innis Herald’s podcast catalogue.

Good Luck!
