Student Life

Innis in history

In 1964, Innis was a brand new college at the University of Toronto. As opposed to poaching upper-year students from other colleges, the administration chose to create a college uniquely composed entirely of first-year students for that premier year. This float from the October 1964 Homecoming Parade plays on the fable of the stork delivering babies, or in this case U of T’s “new arrivals.”
