Innis Herald News

Meet Our Junior Editors for 2021-2022!

As we prepare for the launch of our first issue, we must thank the junior editors that are currently making it possible as midterms start crouching at our door. I can’t even match their enthusiasm and grind, am I really that old?

Anyways, here they are in their full glory!

Junior Online Editor

Stephanie Lee

Hey Innis! My name is Stephanie Lee, a second-year student studying sociology, and book and media studies at the University of Toronto. As you can see in the subheading, I’m going to be a junior online editor for this year’s Innis Herald! I’m excited to begin my new journey at Innis Herald with an awesome team! For a brief introduction to my hobbies, I love travelling with my friends and editing footage of them. I also play bass guitar, though I need more practice;)

Junior Copy Editor

Yash Kumar Singhal

Email: yash.singhal@mail.utoronto.ca

Hey Innis! My name is Yash Kumar Singhal and I’m a first-year international student pursuing Life-Sciences (though I haven’t really finalized on a major yet). I’m living at the Innis residence and am going to be one of the junior copy editors for the Innis Herald this year! I’m a Slytherclaw, a Gemini, a cat-person, a night-owl and a MAJOR Marvel fan. I love anything related to food whether it be eating, cooking or watching shows about eating and cooking. In my free time (which is a rare luxury nowadays) you would find me either writing, reading or going down random youtube spirals. I’m so so excited to be a part of the Innis Herald team and if you ever see me walking (lost and aimless) around campus, come say hi!

Junior Copy Editor

Mackenzie Da Silva

Email: mackenzie.dasilva@mail.utoronto.ca

Hi Innis! I’m Mackenzie, one of the junior copy editors this year. I am a fourth year English and Cinema Studies student. In my free time I can be found hanging out with friends or getting hooked on a new TLC show. I also dabble in guitar and have a pretty sweet job making balloon arrangements at a party store so if you know any easy-to-learn songs or want some balloons decorations don’t be shy to reach out! I’m really looking forward to being part of the Innis Herald team this year.

Thank you Stephanie, Yash, and Mackenzie for all of your hard work, we truly appreciate it!

Don’t forget!

Our October issue is being published on October 15th! So make sure to get yourself a physical copy at the newsstands!

As always, volume 1 will be up on Issu and each of the articles will be published here on the website for all of you to read. And I assure you, they are quite compelling!
