Advice from the Registrar
Sometimes being a student comes with challenges. A little help can go a long way. All five of us in the Registrar’s Office are here to help.
We use our knowledge of registrarial minutiae as well as our cumulative understanding of your studies in the Faculty of Arts & Science to provide you with accurate information and sound advising in an atmosphere of trust, comfort and confidentiality. We take our responsibility to you seriously.
So if you’re looking for help strategizing course and program selection, or ironing out academic, financial or personal details, or adjusting to new learning styles, or juggling personal and work priorities with academic commitments, or wondering what to do with your degree, consider your Registrar’s Office a reliable first stop.
We can also connect you with specialized services on campus to help you excel at University.
Over half of all Innis students meet with us in an advising appointment each year. And we work alongside some remarkable Innis students who create digital perspectives on university life through multiple student (and alumni) voices. If you haven’t seen these webtools already, google U of T plus “askastudent” or “Starter Kit” or “fastforward.” Also check out “U of T Tips” on Facebook.
Donald Boere is the Registrar and Vice-Principal of Innis College. In 2013, he founded U of T’s award-winning FASTanswers, a quick search feature for first-year students, and in 2017 he won the Jill Matus Excellence in Student Services Award. An avid oboe player, Donald continues to have a reputation among Innis students as a “godsend,” giving excellent advice and saving academic careers at the eleventh hour.
